Mineral Foundation Application
Mineral Foundation: Tap a small amount of powder into the open lid and swirl your Kabuki brush into it. Tap the bottom of the handle with the brush head facing upward on a hard surface (eg. bathroom counter). This settles the powder into the brush head. The Kabuki brush is the key to applying our mineral cosmetics! Simplicity minerals are NOT designed to work with a flocked sponge.
Firmly apply light layers on clean, dry skin to evenly blend the pigments. Start at your jaw line and move towards the center of your face. Buff in a gentle circular or downward motion. Do not add more mineral makeup to the brush when working around the eye area. It will have a tendency to settle into the lines around your eyes. The secret to using mineral makeup is to apply it in very sheer layers. It is the light refracting qualities of the pure minerals that give it the ability to cover the skin naturally.
Remember: The natural oils in your skin will meld with the minerals to give you a wonderful natural look. If you think that your makeup looks a bit powdery after you put it on, give it a few minutes on your face before you decide if you put too much on.
For those with dry skin, our foundations can be blended with your daily moisturizer to create a cream foundation. First moisturize as usual, and then tap a small amount of powder into the palm of the hand, then add a drop of moisturizer. Blend the two products together until a smooth, creamy consistency is achieved. Use your fingers or make-up wedge to apply.
Make sure you are washing your brushes with a gentle facial cleanser at least once every 2 weeks! It will keep them soft and bacteria free...
Mineral Concealer Application
Concealer: You do not need a separate concealer, simply use our mineral foundation! We do however, recommend that you cover the blemishes before applying the foundation to your entire face. Use our concealer brush to apply small amounts to the problem areas and blend well.
Mineral Eyeshadow Application
A little goes a long way with our mineral eyeshadows! You will achieve the best results by using a super soft eyeshadow brush to apply the eyeshadow. Just dip the brush into the minerals and then use the lid as a surface to work the minerals into the brush a bit, then apply. Apply light layers until you achive the look you want!
